Social Media Websites: Not just for socializing?

If you have a traditional-type business—websites like
Facebook and Twitter aren’t exactly “your thing”. However, expanding your
horizons could open up a world of connections. The amount of people depending
on these websites is fast growing and almost everyone you meet nowadays
utilizes these sites for networking capabilities. Level 9 suggests creating
pages for your business on social sites like Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter to
create more awareness and drive up traffic to your website. If you’re slightly
intimidated by this phenomenon, Level 9 offers some great tips for getting
started:

Devote the time: after establishing your site, check it at
least three times a day for updates and new postings. Get familiar with it like
you do with your email.

Connect with your audience—as you would set a target market
for your business, do the same when using social networking sites. Offer coupons,
discounts, referral rewards, anything to truly capture your audience’s
attention.

Commit—really spend the time and energy in to developing
these websites. If your passion for the business translates through these
sites, people will take notice. Generic websites are obvious—so give it your
all. For more information on social media for your business, contact Level 9 at
