A few tips for your new WordPress website!

Not every customer shopping online is going to spend the time and money on just your website. The web has created such immediate access to browsing making it much harder for businesses to sell.

The easy access is there, but the ability to really shop—makes it that more competitive. Pilar Whalberg writes in Sitepronews, “People are diverse but when it comes to the internet, we all look for a few things in selecting who to follow, trust, and patronize.” (2010). The following is a list of guidelines when launching your new website with Level 9 Digital.

-Ease of use
Don’t confuse your visitors or create obstacles that prohibit browsing. Customers generally look for simple options: product information, blogs, contacts, cost, etc. Font should be easy to read, understand, and pages are fast to load.

-Clarity of content
Always have a call to action that’s easy to understand. If readers don’t understand your message, they’ll most likely leave and almost never return.

-Uniqueness
Make your website unique, interesting and memorable. Level 9 Digital offers some great tools to making the most out of your website.

-Personalization
Treat your customers as individuals. If they came in to your store you wouldn’t greet them with “hello customer”. Spend some time making the website personable. Gather emails and addresses to send personalized offers and thank yous.

-Security
Pilar Whalberg also writes in Sitepronews, “readers and customers want to be sure that any and all personal information provided to you will stay confidential and not be sold to third parties or misused. If you are selling products, this means SSL security. If you are asking for e-mail addresses for a marketing list, this means respecting your readers’ privacy.” (2010). Security can be the number one issue when buying online. Make these customers feel secure and always deliver a great product!
